ShopRite Shop Once/Give Twice Sweepstakes Official Rules
1. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE THE ODDS OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. You must have a shopriteshoponcegivetwice.com account to enter. There is no cost to create a shopriteshoponcegivetwice.com account.
2. HOW TO ENTER: The Shop Once/Give Twice Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") starts at 12:00:01 a.m. EST on August 28, 2011 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2011 (the "Promotion Period"). During the Promotion Period, you may enter the Sweepstakes by visiting www.shopriteshoponcegivetwice.com (the "Website") and following the online instructions to complete the online Sweepstakes entry form. If you do not have a shopriteshoponcegivetwice.com account, you must first register at the Website to create an account and then log in to complete the online Sweepstakes entry form. Limit one entry per person during the Promotion Period. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Any attempt by an entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant's entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated, programmed, robotic or similar system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
3. ELIGIBILITY:
Open only to legal U.S. residents of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut, and New York who are have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence and physically located in such state at the time of entry. Employees of Sponsor, General Mills, Inc., Wakefern Food Corp. ("Wakefern"), Leader Enterprises, Inc. ("Leader") and their respective affiliate companies, parents, subsidiaries, agents, advertising and promotional agencies, and their immediate families or persons residing in the same household of such employees are not eligible to enter. Participation constitutes the entrant's agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor's decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to this Sweepstakes. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
4. DRA WING AND NOTIFICATION:
A total of ten (10) winners will be selected in a random drawing to be held on or about October 14, 201 from all eligible entries received. Limit one (1) prize per person and per household. Potential winners will be notified by phone or mail. Each winner must designate a single BTFE-eligible school (as described below) of his or her choice to be the beneficial recipient of the Bonus Box Tops Certificate. Each winner, and the BTFE-eligible recipient school selected by the winner (through an authorized administrator or other authorized representative), will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release ("Affidavit of Eligibility") within 14 days of initial notification to such winner in order for the winner's selected BTFE-eligible school to receive the Prize. In the event of non-compliance with these requirements by either a winner or his or her selected BTFE-eligible school, the respective prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected by Sponsor from among all remaining eligible entries. If any prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected by Sponsor from among all remaining eligible entries. Unclaimed prizes may not be awarded.
5. BTFE-ELIGIBLE SCHOOLS:
Prizes will benefit the BTFE-eligible school chosen by each respective winner. In order to be deemed "BTFE-eligible," a school must be registered with the General Mills Box Tops for Education Program (the "BTFE Program"). For purposes of this Sweepstakes, a selected school will be deemed "BTFE-eligible" so long as such selected school becomes fully enrolled in and is registered with the BTFE Program prior to executing an Affidavit of Eligibility and accepting the prize. 6. PRIZES/ODDS OF WINNING PRIZE:
Ten (10) Prizes will be awarded. Each Prize consists of one (1) 50,000 Bonus Box Tops Certificate which will be awarded to the BTFE-eligible school of the respective winner's choice (Approximate Retail Value to BTFE-eligible school: $5000). Prize is non-transferable except to BTFE-eligible schools. Certificate will not be replaced if lost or stolen. No prize substitution or cash equivalent of prize, except at Sponsor's sole discretion, and then only for a prize of equal or greater value. Only BTFE-eligible schools can redeem Bonus Box Tops. Each Bonus Box Tops is worth 10 cents to redeeming BTFE-eligible school. Limit $80,000 per school, per school year. See www.boxtops4education.com for BTFE Program details. 7. GENERAL RULES AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY:
This Sweepstakes is subject to applicable federal, state and local laws. All taxes (if applicable) or expenses, including, without limitation, sales tax, luxury tax and any other costs incurred in claiming or using a prize, are solely the responsibility of the winner. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of any winner or entrant, the winner or entrant is the authorized account holder of the email address used to register. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. By participating, entrants, winners, and recipient BTFE-eligible schools, release and hold harmless Sponsor, General Mills, Inc., Leader, Wakefern, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, and other affiliated companies, and the directors, shareholders, officers, employees, or agencies of any of the above organizations ("Released Parties") from any and all liability for any injury, death, loss, tax liability or damage of any kind arising from entrant's participation in this Sweepstakes, or resulting from winner's or recipient BTFE-eligible school's acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize. Except where prohibited, acceptance of prize shall constitute and signify the winner's and the winner's recipient BTFE-eligible school's agreement and consent that Sponsor may use his/her/its name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions and/or hometown and state for and/or prize information for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide now existing or hereinafter devised, without further payment or consideration. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from this Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to: (i) disqualify from this or any sweepstakes it sponsors any person it finds, in its sole discretion, has intentionally violated these Official Rules, tampered with the entry process, the operation of this Sweepstakes, or any other aspect of this Sweepstakes; and (ii) cancel or suspend part or all of this Sweepstakes in the event that technical or printing errors, tampering, fraud, unauthorized intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor's control, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Sweepstakes. In such event, Sponsor may award prize in a random drawing from all eligible entries received prior to the date of cancellation or suspension.
8. WARNING. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY'S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT OR INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING SEEKING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
9. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, whether caused by entrant, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or this Sweepstakes; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of this Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; (5) misdirected, late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen entries; or (6) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in this Sweepstakes or receipt, use or misuse of any prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical/other error in the official rules, the entry form, entries, advertisements or selection announcement or other communications relating to the Sweepstakes.
